Coaching Methodology

At Hopefordogs Canine Training, we advocate using compassionate and kind methods in our coaching, placing the dog’s welfare and emotional well-being at the forefront of every training session. Our philosophy revolves around understanding each dog’s unique personality, needs, and experiences, ensuring that training is a positive and enriching process for both dogs and their guardians. We employ force-free, scientifically proven techniques that focus on building trust, fostering clear communication, and strengthening the bond between human and canine.
Our approach prioritises creating a safe, supportive environment where dogs can learn at their own pace, free from fear or intimidation. We believe in empowering dogs through positive reinforcement, rewarding desired behaviours rather than punishing unwanted ones. This method not only nurtures confidence and resilience in dogs but also helps prevent behavioural issues rooted in stress or anxiety.
We also emphasise education for dog guardians, equipping them with the skills and knowledge needed to understand their dogs’ body language, needs, and motivations. This holistic approach ensures lasting behavioural changes and harmonious relationships built on mutual respect and understanding. At Hopefordogs, training is more than teaching cues—it’s about fostering joyful, balanced, and cooperative partnerships between dogs and their families.

Started with PUPSingapore, a campaign to raise awareness about the horrific breeding and welfare conditions of puppy farms in Singapore, my passion to help dogs has not stopped ever since. Being a regular volunteer at SOSD has motivated me to become a professional dog trainer with the aim to help other volunteers alike, dog guardians and of course, the dogs.
